Que opina usted? Cannes 2013 | Lo que podemos esperar de la 66ª edición (y II) - 14/05/2013 12:44:19
" En el tren de camino a Cannes reflexiono sobre las películas que se verán en secciones paralelas y que bien merecen una especial atención. Y es que tras hacer repaso a las 5 películas más interesantes dela sección oficial, no podía no hacer lo propio con otras secciones.Sin entrar en detalles ni decir que en la sección Cannes Classics se podrán ver obras maestras de la talla de "Los paraguas de Cherbourg" de Jacques Demy ("Les parapluies de Cherbourg", 1964), "Cleopatra" de Joseph L. Mankiewicz (id, 1963), "Fedora" de Billy Wilder (id, 1978) o la mismísima "Vertigo" de Alfred Hitchcock (id,1958), entre muchas otras, pero otras secciones como Una Cierta Mirada o la Quincena de los Realizadores nos preparan un gran festín. Os dejo con mis tres predilecciones.
The Bling Ring
La nueva película de Sofia Coppola es la encargada de inaugurar la sección Una Cierta Mirada. La hija de Francis Ford Coppola nos trae una historia basada en hechos reales sobre un grupo de adolescentes obsesionados con la fama y que utilizan Internet para rastrear el paradero de las celebridades y robar en sus casas. Conocidos como los "Bling Ring", la banda original robó en las casas de gente como Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan o Megan Fox.
Protagonizada por Emma Watson y un grupillo de jovenzuelos casi desconocidos, "The Bling Ring" apunta maneras, aunque también corre el riesgo de convertirse en una historia superficial sobre niñatos superfiaciales e insufribles.
"Fruitvale Station"
La última triunfadora del festival de Sundance de la que ya os habló Juan Luis está dirigida por el debutante Ryan Coogler y producida por el también actor Forest Whitaker. La película, que se verá en la sección Una Cierta Mirada también está basada en una historia real y nos cuenta el último día de vida de Oscar Grant, un muchacho que murió por disparos de la policía en las primeras horas del año 2009.
Protagoniza el joven Michael B. Jordan, acompañado de Octavia Spencer o Chad Michael Murray, entre otros. Se dice que es la nueva "Bestias del sur salvaje" ("Beasts of the southern wild" de Ben Zeitilin, 2012) y las apuestas ya la sitúan como la gran sorpresa del festival y como ganadora del premio Caméra d"Or a la Mejor Primera Película. Ya os contaré.
"Blood Ties"
El actor y director francés Guillaume Canet se lanza a la aventura americana con "Blood Ties", que se proyecta fuera de competición en Cannes y que apunta a ser un antes y un después en la carrera de Canet como director.
Protagonizada por Billy Crudup, Mila Kunis, Zoe Saldana, Marion Cotillard y Clive Owen y con guión co-escrito por James Gray, "Blood Ties" es el remake de la francesa "Liens du sang" (Jacques Maillot, 2008), que protagonizó el propio Canet junto a François Cluzet y nos traslada a los años 70 para contarnos la historia de un hombre
Ambientado en los años 70, gira en torno a un hombre (Crudup) que le pide ayuda en un asunto turbio a su hermano mayor, un ex delincuente reformado (Owen).

"He aquí los ganadores de los People"s Choice Awards 2013 celebrados este miércoles. La simpática Kaley Cuoco de The Big Bang Theory fue la anfitriona del evento. El film con más premios fue The Hunger Games y sus protagonistas Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson y Liam Hemsworth estuvieron allí para recibirlos.
